Introducing the Vmax 600 charge tank sports AGM battery. VMAX's tough tank seals and protects the tightly packed plates to deliver a 100% maintenance-free package! VMAX's unique construction and sealing techniques guarantee leak proof operation, and VMAX tanks are classified as non-spillable, non-hazardous dry batteries. That means they are NOT restricted for ground, air or maritime transport! The tanks utilize an electrolyte suspension system with specially designed Absorbed Glass Matt (AGM) between the plates. This gives the tank superior physical and electrical properties, and also helps avoid damage from shocks and vibrations. No silica gels or any other contaminants are used. VMAX tanks incorporate a built-in design that controls gas generation and induces recombination of more than 99% of gases generated during float usage. There is no need to check specific gravity of the electrolyte or add water to the tanks during float service life. In fact, there is no provision for this type of maintenance. All tanks are equipped with safety release valves, designed to operate between 0.98-196.1kpa and automatically reseal. Hence, there is never an excessive accumulation of gas within the battery. Heavy duty lead tin alloy grids provide an extra margin of performance and service life in either float or cyclic applications, even after repeated over discharges. The self discharge rate of the tanks at room temperature is approximately 1-2% of rated capacity per month (compared to 2-3%.for most other AGM batteries and 15-20% for Lead Acid batteries).
