This Driveway Patrol Alarm is being used as a patio alarm and works even better than I could have ever imagined. I love it and have it positioned to even tell me when someone is at my side door. The price for such a great security alarm is unreal. I plan on getting two more for myself and a couple for gifts at Christmas. Thanks, TJT

This will chime if a rain drop passes it. When the 9V. battery goes dies it chimes non stop. I use it in my store room for theft protection as it does have a very long range. That is a plus!

it is very good i love it i made a birdhouse for mine so everyone thinks it is a birdhouse and not a alarm

I had mine in a bird house also. but awood pecker put a hole in it so i had to put a screen over the hole. hahaha. that fixed him.

I use my driveway patrol two ways.
One is screwed into the back of my rural mailbox and alarms when the mail man opens the mail box door.
The other is in my storage building and is set to alarm when anyone brakes open the door. The only reason I gave 4 stars is sometimes I get false alarms but not often

Had ours almost 3 years before the monitor went. Performed well for all that time at about 400'. Only negative is that it can't tell the difference between cars and trees or shrubs blowing in the wind or birds/animals. I am ordering my replacement now.
