I ordered this jacket for the price and I wanted something that wasn't patch work. It is a heavy-duty leather jacket. It is not necessarily "soft" but it moves with you. I wear it with a quilted vest and it is very comfortable here in Michigan. Leather jackets like this can cost twice as much or more. It is very much worth the money. It is not really "military" style, but it is still a nice jacket.
