I have both lamps. I really like the floor lamp, but I like the desk lamp even more. It provides great lighting for my desk. It is attractive and functional. Best desk lamp I have ever used. I think you will like it.

I like these lamps a lot. They put out a lot of light. I would have preferred that the desktop unit have its on/off switch on the base, however. Also, these are not actually sunlamps, which are ultraviolet lamps. These lamps produce a shade of light that to the human eye looks more like sunlight. I would not expect them to work well being used to grow plants which rely on the UV light from the sun.

Didn't think it would this good. It's great. Puts out plenty of light. Just right for reading books or newspaper.

I recently ordered both lamps. I couldn't be happier. I have a large leather recliner and discovered that regular table lamps didn't give me adequate lighting for reading. My desk lamp wasn't all that great either. This desk lamp floods your desk with bright (not glaring) light to make your work easier to do. The floor lamp was exactly what I needed for reading. They are simple but attractive. If you're thinking about ordering them, I would tell you to get them. I think you will be happy.

Purchased 2 sets of the floor and desk lamps. They work as advertised, give great lighting, are easy on the eyes. I'm using one desk lamp for indoor tomatoe plants, we'll see if it helps with their needs too.
