The flashlight is made for use. This isn't a toy or cheap plastic. Law Enforcement and Security Officers who need a multitool for night time patrol and documentation, this is a good unit to get.
I did research and found that this flashlight was rated very good, in fact it has won some awards for design innovation.
Only problem with this unit is that you NEED to have a Windows XP/2000 computer in order to install the drivers needed to download the videos/photos you take. There are no updated drivers available for Windows 7. I looked online for any resources that might have new drivers but none exist. I even called the manufacture and spoke to them about the driver issue, the told me you HAVE to have a Windows XP/2000 PC. Will not work with any other Operating System.
The flashlight itself is a very sturdy unit with a very bright LED flashlight. The IR will illuminate a good 80 to 100ft no problem.
Do recommend IF you have the XP/2000 PC.
