The most versatile charger on the market, this one works very well with batteries of all the most popular sizes and types, including nicad, nimh, and alkaline. As far as I can tell, this is the exact same charger Hammacher-Schlemmer offers for considerably more money. Highly recommended, and a great deal at this price!

Wow--this one really works, separate settings for Alkaline,NiMH and NiCad; Don't confuse with the "junk" recharger others sell which is strictly LED, shows full charge at 1.2v, charge drops off after being full. This is worth the extra $10 or so--it does what is supposed to. Huge difference.

I play my Xbox 360(which i also purchased from HeartlandAmerica) and the wireless controller burns up AA batteries like crazy. Bought the recharger and it will probably pay for itself in 4 months (just a wild guess). If you use lots of batteries, buy it.
